Dear John,
Today, I want to share with you an
inspiring opportunity to fight Alzheimer's disease, a devastating
thief that robs us of our families, our finances and our future.

Right now, the Knight family, generous
longtime Alzheimer's Association supporters, have pledged $442,695 to
the Association, but only IF we can raise the same amount before
December 31.

Every dollar counts in the fight to
end Alzheimer's. Every dollar - and every minute - counts
to the more than 5 million people living with Alzheimer's in the
United States and their 16 million caregivers. The Knight family's
gift will provide local care and support programs. Your gift, up to
$442,695, can make TWICE the impact to provide care and support and
advance critical research.

What does your gift now mean?
* Your generosity makes research possible so we can learn more
about the sixth-leading cause of death in the United States. We
will continue to fund critical, global research toward methods
of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure.

* Your gift today means that every hour of every day, when a
caregiver or person living with Alzheimer's calls our free 24/7
Helpline
[link removed]
(800.272.3900), a master's-level clinician can provide
much-needed resources and information.
* And when you make a donation right now, it allows us to shine a
light on the nation's largest under-recognized public health
crisis, thanks to our network of advocates who work at the
federal and state level to encourage legislation to improve the
lives of all those affected by Alzheimer's.

The bottom line is: We have a big
challenge in front of us, and we can only ensure progress happens
every day with your help. Too many mothers look at their daughters and
don't recognize their faces. Too many sons say goodbye to their
fathers too soon. And too many of us lose friends who have been with
us through thick and thin. Tragically, the numbers only continue to
grow.

The sad reality is that Alzheimer's
can impact anyone. The Knight family first encountered this
devastating disease when their grandmother started showing signs in
the early '80s. They connected with the Association and began raising
awareness so no other family would be caught off guard.
"Who could have imagined that my
husband would then also be diagnosed? But by then I had learned how to
deal with it," says Joanne Knight. "Now, my family wants
everyone who receives a diagnosis to have the same support and care we
did."
Thank you for making it possible to
continue our mission to lead the way to end Alzheimer's and all other
dementia - by accelerating global research, driving risk
reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and
support.
