John,
One of the most crucial and fundamental parts of my role as the People's Attorney is to protect the most vulnerable. That's why I have fought tirelessly to assist and empower domestic violence survivors by providing funding for shelters and other services.

Today I am writing with an opportunity to help out some of the heroic organizations here in Oregon that are working to combat domestic violence and provide a support network for survivors.

This is the season of giving and it is a perfect time for us all to reflect on and help out the organization in our communities that are working to make our home a safer place to live.

There are many great organizations in Oregon that have dedicated themselves to this important cause -- here are just a few of my favorites:

Raphael House (Portland) - Offers an emergency shelter, ongoing support, and prevention education to those in need, and (with the ongoing pandemic causing an uptick in domestic violence situations) they need your support now more than ever. Click here to donate to this wonderful organization today.
Clackamas Women's Services (Oregon City) - Serves all of Clackamas County and provides a coordinated community response to domestic and sexual violence in the area as well as offering educational courses to help increase the number of families they can serve! To donate to Clackamas Women's Services please click here.
Bradley Angle (Portland) - Founded in 1975 as the first-ever domestic violence shelter on the West Coast. Since then, they've strived for decades to end domestic violence and provide critical support for their survivors. For information on how to donate to Bradley Angle, click here.

The three organizations I listed above are just some of the wide array of organizations in Oregon committed to ending domestic violence. For a more comprehensive list, click here to be redirected to the Oregon Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Violence collection of community-based resources for survivors.

By supporting these great organizations you too can stand up for victims of domestic violence and ensure that they all get the love and care that they deserve this holiday season.

Thank you,
Ellen
