John,

One of the most crucial and fundamental parts of my role as the People’s Attorney is to protect the most vulnerable. That’s why I have fought tirelessly to assist and empower domestic violence survivors by providing funding for shelters and other services.

Today I am hoping you might be able to help some of the heroic non-profits that are working here in Oregon to combat domestic violence and provide support networks for survivors.

This is the season of giving, and it offers us a chance to reflect on the organizations in our communities that are working to make "home" a truly safe place for Oregon families to live and thrive.

There are many great organizations in Oregon that have dedicated themselves to this important cause -- here are just a few of my favorites:
  • Raphael House  - Offers an emergency shelter, ongoing support, and prevention education to those in need, and, especially with the ongoing pandemic causing an uptick in incidents of domestic violence, they need your support now more than ever. Click here to donate to Raphael House today.

  • Clackamas Women’s Services - Serves all of Clackamas County and provides a coordinated community response to domestic and sexual violence in the area as well as offering educational courses to help increase the number of families they can serve. To donate to Clackamas Women’s Services please click here.

  • Bradley Angle  - Founded in 1975 as the first-ever domestic violence shelter on the West Coast. Since then, they’ve strived for decades to end domestic violence and provide critical support for survivors. For information on how to donate to Bradley Angle, click here.

By supporting these special organizations you, too, can stand up for victims of domestic violence and ensure they and their families have safe shelter--  along with the love and care they deserve this holiday season.

Thank you in advance for your compassion and generosity,
