One of the main goals of The Tea Party movement has always been holding pol=
iticians in both parties accountable. Over the years, the work of Tea Party=
Patriots has proven that elected officials still care about what their con=
stituents think. When an issue arises, we call on our network of supporters=
to take action and make a difference. This can be done through various ave=
nues, including our groups, mailers, automated calls, and most commonly, ou=
r website and email system.

There have been many successful ways that the each individual has been able=
to get involved. Here are some ways that we will call on you to be proacti=
ve with our nation=E2=80=99s politicians:

****** Contact Your Members of Congress ******

There are times when we ask for a grassroots effort to contact specific mem=
bers, or even all, of Congress. When this happens, we will let you know ho=
w to best communicate the issue with these legislators. It can be by provid=
ing a specific list of representatives that are at the heart of the situati=
on or having you contact your congressman and/or senators. When we do this=
, you will be provided with a list of these legislators.

In today's world of technology, many people find email as an efficient tool=
to communicate with those whom they may not otherwise contact. Certainly, =
any action is better than none at all. However, email (which can easily be=
filtered) has far less impact than a phone call, traditional letter or eve=
n a public =E2=80=9Ctweet=E2=80=9D via Twitter. These have been proven met=
hods that grab the attention of those in leadership.

Throughout history, petitions have helped to bring about significant change=
s in government. Notably, nearly 200 years ago, petitions demanding an end =
to slavery gathered over a hundred thousand signatures and became a catalys=
t that motivated Congress to take up the issue and eventually outlaw it alt=

One of the main goals of The Tea Party movement has always been holding politicians in both parties accountable. Over the years, the work of Tea Party Patriots has proven that elected officials still care about what their constituents think. When an issue arises, we call on our network of supporters to take action and make a difference. This can be done through various avenues, including our groups, mailers, automated calls, and most commonly, our website and email system.

There have been many successful ways that the each individual has been able to get involved. Here are some ways that we will call on you to be proactive with our nation’s politicians:

There are times when we ask for a grassroots effort to contact specific members, or even all, of Congress. When this happens, we will let you know how to best communicate the issue with these legislators. It can be by providing a specific list of representatives that are at the heart of the situation or having you contact your congressman and/or senators. When we do this, you will be provided with a list of these legislators.
