When I visited the border in April, I saw firsthand the cruel and abhorrent conditions. It's enough to make your stomach turn. As Americans, we must demand better of our country than this.

I'm doing everything I can to draw attention to President Trump's self-created humanitarian crisis and ensure that children and migrant families are treated with humanity and compassion.
