Global Study on COVID-19 in People with CF Publishes Updated Outcomes
Updated outcomes from 181 people with cystic fibrosis from 19 countries diagnosed with COVID-19 have been published in the ([link removed]) Journal of CF ([link removed]) as part of an ongoing, international collaboration to understand the impact of COVID-19 on people with CF. Consistent with previously reported data, individuals represented in the study exhibited a range of outcomes. Overall, we continue to be encouraged that people with CF are faring better than initially expected and that many patients have been able to manage their treatment at home. However, the study confirmed that COVID-19 can cause serious illness in people with CF.
