* Working to end the dog meat trade in S. Korea - Throughout 2020, LCA and S. Korean sister organization Animal Liberation Wave (ALW) increased pressure on S. Korea to end the dog meat trade. A petition urging President Moon Jae-in to ban dog meat garnered almost 50,000 signatures and a powerful statement was made when ALW and Seorak, a dog rescued from a slaughterhouse, delivered a message to the Blue House. * Lobbying for stronger animal protection laws - LCA's legal team was at the forefront of the fight to stop Ag-Gag laws from being passed in Canada. These dangerous laws seek to prevent whistleblowers from revealing the truth about what happens to animals behind the closed doors of farms, transport trucks, and slaughterhouses. Learn more. * Exposing abuse at Escarpment's Edge Dairy Farm - In 2020, LCA released a groundbreaking investigation into Escarpment's Edge, a goat dairy farm in Ontario, Canada, exposing the blatant mistreatment of animals.
