Positively Trans, our project centering trans people living with HIV, joined health departments, organizations, and community members last week at the annual United States Conference on AIDS (USCA). We were able to share our latest needs assessment report with attendees from all across the country. Positively Trans members participated in an action calling for greater community input from governmental entities like the National Minority AIDS Council and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Following the concert, our annual SPARK! Gala takes place on October 24th. We promise you: this is the party of the year. Just as we fight hard for trans liberation, we take celebration seriously! We can’t forget the victories we’ve won this year. Mattee Jim, a trans advocate from the Navajo Nation, will be this year’s Vanguard honoree. She has devoted over two decades advocating for trans people and people living with HIV. Don’t miss out – save your spot! [[link removed]]
