Winter will be tough for all of us this year. But in the Middle East, where millions of people have been displaced from their homes, life is about to become even harder.

Temperatures are plummeting. In places including Syria, Iraq and Yemen, they will soon dip below freezing. Refugee families are battling against the cold and the threat of COVID-19 with no place to call home.

Children and the elderly are particularly vulnerable as they struggle to keep warm.
