Good Morning Y'all,

This is Christian Kennedy co-chair of Berkshires DSA, just wanting to reach
out-hope you are all doing well and staying safe. Today is Election Day-if
you haven't already voted early or submitted your mail in ballot, please
get out and vote today. It bears repeating that this is an extremely
important election, and a top short term priority for us as democratic
socialists, and as concerned human beings, should be to vote Donald Trump
out of the White House, so that we can remove someone who inspires white
supremacists from office and begin to pressure Joe Biden to take action on
climate, pass stimulus measures for workers and their families to survive
through the pandemic, to reopen cooperation with the international medical
community for work on a COVID-19 vaccine, and to reform and improve our
healthcare system among many other important and pressing priorities. If
you are unsure about your registration status or where to vote, or want to
find out what else will be on your ballot, please consult the Massachusetts
Secretary of State's website: [link removed]

On Wednesday November 4th, at 5 PM Berkshires Democratic Socialists of
America will be proudly standing shoulder to socially distanced shoulder
with other local partner organizations such as Berkshires Democratic
Brigades and Indivisible Pittsfield at Park Square, to demand that every
vote is counted and to Protect the Results. We feel it is important that
everyone who is safely able to, to attend-turnout will be important to
demonstrate the community's support for making sure there is a transition
of power in the event of a Biden victory and, potentially, a refusal by
Trump to relinquish office peacefully. If you are not feeling well or you
consider yourself vulnerable to COVID please do not feel pressured to
attend! Event details and signup can be found here

wear a mask when attending and practice social distancing.

Finally, there will be another March for Black Lives hosted by our
community partner Northern Berkshire Intersectional Partnership in Soldiers
Memorial Field in Adams on Sunday, November 8th, from 4 PM-6:45 PM. As
democratic socialists we need to be continually involved in the struggle
for black and brown lives, the fight against systemic racism in our
society, and police brutality. All lives can't matter until black and brown
ones do. Event details can be found here
<[link removed]> and more details about
Northern Berkshire Intersectional Partnership can be found here
<[link removed]>-please give them your support and follow
them on social media to stay up to date on their events and communications.
If attending, please wear a mask and socially distance-do not attend if you
are vulnerable to COVID and/or are not feeling well.

Stay safe, rock the vote and hope to see you all at one or both of these
events!

In Solidarity,
Christian Kennedy
