NEW STUDY STRENGTHENS CASE FOR BANNING WHIPS IN HORSE RACING
A new study from Australia ([link removed]), which
included analysis that analysed of whip-free horse races in comparison to
races with whip use, co-authored by Animal Aid’s Horse Racing Consultant,
Dene Stansall, has concluded that there is “no evidence that whip use improves
steering, reduces interference, increases safety or improves finishing times.”

ARE THERE LIVE REINDEER EVENTS PLANNED NEAR YOU?
Despite Covid-19, a small number of event organisers do appear to still be
planning low-key festive reindeer and other animal appearances.

We would be hugely grateful if you can reach out to any event organisers in your
local community and discourage them from including live animal displays. Do also
let us have the details of any you spot by emailing [email protected].

Order your digital action pack today which includes template letters, an FAQ
and a letter to the editor. Thank you!

MORE THAN 6,500 PEOPLE CALL ON KELLOGG’S TO INCREASE VEGAN OPTIONS
More than 6,500 people have signed our joint petition with Herbivore Club,
calling on Kellogg’s to swap the vitamin D3 used in its cereals to a vegan
version. Kellogg’s has a number of vegan cereals, which is amazing, however, the
vast majority include a vitamin D3 which is derived from lanolin, found derived
from wool.
