New study strengthens case for banning whips in horse racing

A new study from Australia analysed whip-free horse races in comparison to races with whip use. Co-authored by Animal Aid’s Horse Racing Consultant, Dene Stansall, it concluded that there is “no evidence that whip use improves steering, reduces interference, increases safety or improves finishing times.”

Almost 7,000 people call on Kellogg’s to increase vegan options

More than 6,950 people have signed our joint petition with Herbivore Club, calling on Kellogg’s to swap the vitamin D3 used in its cereals to a vegan version. Kellogg’s has a number of vegan cereals, which is a good start, however, the vast majority include a vitamin D3 which is derived from lanolin, from wool.
