WomenHeart Celebrates the Wenger Awards
WomenHeart celebrated its 20th annual and first virtual Wenger Awards
on October 22nd. Attendees heard from all the honorees, including Dr.
Nakela Cook, Dr. Martha Gulati, Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal,
director of the documentary film

Ms. Diagnosed, Tricia Regan, and Preeclampsia Foundation CEO Eleni
Tsigas, as well as CEO Celina Gorre, Dr. Nanette Wenger, Board Chair
Gayathri Badrinath and WomenHeart Champion Kathy Webster. Thanks to

A Patient-First Policy Agenda
WomenHeart joined partner organizations in releasing our top policy
priorities for the next Administration and Congress related to access
to adequate and affordable health coverage. Read our blog about how
"The 100 Days Agenda: A Patient-First Blueprint" would
support women living with and at risk for heart disease and others
with pre-existing conditions.

WomenHeart Champion Class of 2020 Graduates
For five weeks in September and October, WomenHeart hosted its first
virtual Science & Leadership Symposium with a new class of
WomenHeart Champions. Led by Medical Director Dr. Sharonne Hayes, the
new volunteers attended several live and pre-recorded sessions with
faculty from the Mayo Clinic as well as several others who taught them
about heart health and how to tell their heart story, the importance
of mental health and wellness and dialogued about diversity and
inclusion. The new class had a virtual graduation on October 21st.

Going Back to the Heart of Cardiology: A Virtual Conference for
Clinicians
Medscape Cardiology/theHeart.org is holding a virtual conference
featuring topics with a direct impact on cardiology practice,
including heart failure, atrial fibrillation, prevention and
cardiology post COVID-19. This initiative features six live-streamed
sessions over two weeks, December 8-10 and December 15-17. All
