It’s hard to believe, but the 2020 Election is almost here. LGBTQ candidates everywhere are making their final case to voters. Here is the latest from the campaign trail!
In case you missed the headlines: a record-breaking number [[link removed]] of LGBTQ candidates are running [[link removed]] for public office this year [[link removed]] .
With all those candidates, it might be hard to know which stories to follow on Election Night. Here are eight stories we’ll be tracking – as well as our 311 endorsed candidates [[link removed]] !
Right now, there are too few openly trans people holding public office. But this year, 21 trans candidates are running to expand the ranks and add essential representation. Learn about their races here [[link removed]] !
Marko Liias , running for Washington Lt. Governor, is thanking supporters on his Twitter account. He also highlighted the phenomenal number of new voters that are casting their ballots [[link removed]] .
Bryce Bennett is fighting to flip Montana’s Secretary of State seat – and campaigning in the snow to do it [[link removed]] !
A special shout out: Hillary Clinton urged voters to consider Brandon Thomas’s campaign for the Tennessee state House [[link removed]] . Brandon is currently running to make history as one of Tennessee's first openly LGBTQ state legislators.
Marque Snow , who will make history as the first Black openly LGBTQ person elected to the Nebraska state legislature, shared an important update: don’t mail your ballot! Drop it off or vote (safely!) in-person [[link removed]] .
Or as Lorenzo Sanchez , who’s running in a must-win race in the Texas state House, recommended, vote early in-person [[link removed]] .
