Fred Guttenberg's daughter, Jaime, was among the 17 people killed in the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, FL. Jaime was only 14. In the days following Jaime’s murder, Fred was struck by a quote from Mr. Rogers: “Always look for the helpers." And true enough, Fred found that so many people — many of them strangers — met his family with kindness and compassion.

Fred Guttenberg's powerful new memoir, Find the Helpers: What 9/11 and Parkland Taught Me about Recovery, Purpose, and Hope [[link removed]] , will be the backdrop for our special virtual event. Brady President Kris Brown will talk with Fred Guttenberg, Dr. Dana Winters of the Fred Rogers' Center, and Clayton Rosenberg of the Alliance of Concerned Men and Women to share the ways in which gun violence impacts Americans, how they have been helped in their journeys, and — amid fears and tensions around a historic Election Day — how we all can be helpers ourselves.

Please join us for this free, inspiring discussion.
