We are excited to introduce our RiseOut Activist-in-Residence Fellowship Program! Through this program, The Center will invest in the next generation of leaders who are committed to transforming social and economic conditions. In this inaugural year, the program seeks to specifically and intentionally support Black LGBTQ New Yorkers as fellows.
We are currently accepting applications, and are looking for project proposals that highlight underrepresented communities and align with RiseOut’s main focus of advancing LGBTQ rights in New York State. Proposals can be for a wide variety of projects—research, storytelling, community building, public education campaigns, visual arts, digital media and more.

. Our goal is to contact 50,000 New Yorkers across the state, reminding them to vote in their federal, state and/or local races. Your help with this outreach is critical: Did you know that in the 2016 presidential election, only 57% of eligible voters in New York cast their ballot? With your help, we can get more people to the polls this year!
