License to Discriminate
==================
Once again, the Trump administration is attacking Americans' rights under the flimsy guise of religious freedom. The U.S. Department of Labor has proposed a rule that would gut nondiscrimination protections for the 1 in 5 Americans who work for federal contractors. These employers would be allowed to engage in discriminatory behavior against their workers on the basis of things like sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, and religion-as long as they assert a religious reason for doing so. They will essentially have a taxpayer-funded license to discriminate. CAP has set up an easy form for our readers to send a message to the Labor Department-but the public comment period for this proposed rule ends on Monday, so don't delay!
