Millions of kids go hungry in the UK.



In one of the richest nations in the world, there is no excuse. Even before COVID struck, food poverty was on the rise.



Shamefully, the government has refused to give kids the food they need. It is simply a failure to protect the most vulnerable in our society.



And the failure to progress talks with the EU is yet another. <[link removed]> If the government won’t feed hungry kids, they could at least ensure food doesn’t also become more expensive for us all.



The Affordable Food Deal has been warning of skyrocketing prices since the summer, and the damage this will do to struggling families. <[link removed]> Without a free trade deal with Europe, tariffs will be applied to much of our food, and on-the-shelf prices will rise.
