** ASA at work in DC
------------------------------------------------------------
Members of Congress returned to DC this week, following their annual August recess. As legislators flocked to the nation's capital, the ASA team took to the skies to continue our fight to protect and expand suppressor rights at the federal level.

While in DC, we visited with legislators on the Hill and administration officials to discuss avenues for pro-suppressor reform. We also attend the Congressional Sportsmen's Foundation's Annual Banquet, where nearly 60 bipartisan members of Congress were in attendance. Special thanks to ASA Sponsor NASGW ([link removed][UNIQID]) for graciously hosting us at their table.

While Congress took the month of August off, ASA focused on state-level advocacy. In Virginia, ASA testified before the Virginia State Crime Commission in opposition to proposed suppressor restrictions; in Massachusetts, ASA submitted testimony in support of a bill that would legalize individual suppressor ownership in Massachusetts.
