"Toxic" Tom Tiffany is running for Congress in the special election for the 7th District in Northern Wisconsin.

Why do they call him "Toxic" Tom? His record of trying (and failing) to take away environmental protections to benefit big mining companies might have something to do with it.

Then again, it might be his cozy relationship with Donald Trump. Just the other day he tweeted that he would be an ally to Trump's toxic rhetoric.

One thing's for sure: Wisconsin does not need a Trump copycat in office.

The date of the special election won't be set until after Rep. Duffy officially resigns on September 23rd. We have many great Democratic candidates considering a run, so it's possible we won't know who our candidate is until after a primary election.
