Toxic Tom Tiffany is running for Congress as a Republican in the special election for the 7th District in Northern Wisconsin.

Why do so many people call him “Toxic Tom"? He earned the nickname by working with polluters (who also happen to be his donors) to take away environmental protections that Wisconsinites rely on.

Now, he's further earning the nickname by pledging his support to the most toxic man in U.S. politics: Donald Trump. Tom Tiffany recently tweeted that he'd be the ally Donald Trump needs.

One thing’s for sure: Wisconsinites have had enough of toxic politics. We can't allow Toxic Tom to represent Wisconsin in Congress.

The date of the special election won’t be set until after Rep. Duffy officially resigns on September 23rd. We have many great Democratic candidates considering a run, so it’s possible we won’t know who our candidate is until after a primary election.
