Friend,

Over the past year, I've met so many people who have shared their stories with me.

People like Gina, a single mother I met in Hamilton yesterday who struggles each month to afford the expensive medication she needs to stay alive. Even though she's working hard and has support from her family, it's still a struggle.

It just shouldn't be this way. Millions of hardworking Canadians shouldn't have to struggle so hard to live a good life.

With the election officially kicking off today, I'm focused on the people we're in this for. With a campaign as critical as this one, we need to make sure we give this everything we have. That's why I'm asking you to chip in what you can today.

We can do better for people - but only if we have the courage to take on the powerful interests at the very top. The Conservatives won't stand up to their wealthy friends. Justin Trudeau said the right things, but behind closed doors, he's caving to the demands of the richest corporations.

We have an opportunity over the next 40 days - to bring a hopeful message to Canadians that we can build the country of our dreams. Where everyone has health care when they need it and a place to call home.

We need to fight harder than ever. I'm hoping you'll chip in $3, or whatever you can, to help us start today strong.
