Dear John,

As a token of our gratitude, I want to send you a special gift.

Because your compassion for the people of Tibet does so much—and is so needed
right now.

Everything we’ve done to strengthen international support for Tibet is due to
ICT members like you, but we can’t rest until His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s
vision for Tibet is fully realized.

There is still a lot to accomplish before the end of 2020 and you can help by
making a gift today. Please show your compassionate support, symbolized by the
lotus flower we’ll send to you with a gift of $15 or more.

Thanks to dedicated friends like you, ICT has helped make great strides for the
Tibetan cause this year:

* For the first time ever, the US is denying entry to Chinese Communist Party
officials responsible for keeping Americans out of Tibet, in violation of the
principle of reciprocity.
* United Nations human rights experts issued a strong, official message to the
Chinese government about China’s plans to interfere in the succession of the
next Dalai Lama.
* And the House of Representatives passed the Tibetan Policy and Support Act to
guard the integrity of Tibetan Buddhism and do much more to assist the
Tibetan people.

But there’s still progress to be made, and there’s no time to lose.
President Xi Jinping recently revealed a taste of what’s to come when he
commented on China’s need to build an “impregnable fortress” in Tibet.
Because Beijing lacks legitimacy with the Tibetan people, he plans to rule with
fear and intimidation.

In the face of threats like these, we must focus our compassion in an unwavering
commitment to support Tibetans’ human rights. Can we count on you to stand with
Tibetans by making an urgently needed gift today?

Your contribution will fuel efforts to achieve passage of the Tibetan Policy and
Support Act in the Senate before year-end and ensure the US fully enforces the
Reciprocal Access to Tibet Act and lay the ground for other countries to follow
suit. In short, you’ll make a tremendous difference for the people of Tibet.

Thank you for your compassionate actions in support of Tibet.

Sincerely,

Matteo Mecacci
President

P.S. When you make a gift of $15 or more to help advance justice and peace for
Tibet, we’ll send you a special lotus flower. Please accept it with our
gratitude and display it as a symbol of your meaningful connection to the people
of Tibet.
