The latino community in California, Washington and Oregon have been
disproportionately affected by the wildfires ravaging the region. Latinos are the
backbone of the workforce in hotels, restaurants, food processing plants,
agriculture, and wineries across these states; yet they are facing enormous
hardships in light of this new emergency on top of the current COVID-19 crisis.
Please join us for a town hall with Oregon leaders to discuss the impact of the
wildfires, the unmet needs, and steps we need to take to ensure we are providing
needed relief.

Host:
• David Cruz, LULAC Communications Director

Special Guest:
• The Honorable Kate Brown, Governor of Oregon

Panelists:
• Domingo Garcia, LULAC National President
• Sindy Benavides, LULAC National CEO
• Pam Marsh, Oregon State Representative
• Teresa Alonso Leon, Oregon State Representative
• Linda Castillo, Chair of the Oregon Commission on Hispanic Affairs
• Anthony Veliz, Chair of the Oregon Latinx Leadership Network
