The first half of the movie, set in Oxford, shows Lennox revealing the scientific arguments for and against the existence of a designer outside nature. The second half follows Lennox’s story around the globe, as he makes a case for identifying the designer with a Christian understanding of the deity.

Lennox delves into controversial issues surrounding science and faith, answering common questions regarding apparent tensions between scripture and scientific evidence. In AGAINST THE TIDE Professor Lennox demonstrates that science and faith are indeed compatible.
