John,
We will not let this shocking development get lost in the news or in your inbox. Because we know you care about refugees.
With 1% of humanity now forcibly displaced, there are more refugees around the world today than ever before — and resettlement is the last live-saving option for thousands fleeing tyranny, war and persecution.
Despite the longstanding, bipartisan legacy in the U.S. of offering safe haven to those fleeing violence, tyranny and persecution, the Trump administration is turning its back on refugees.
BREAKING NEWS:
The critical deadline of September 30th has passed. The Trump administration has not set a refugee resettlement admissions number for this new fiscal year — a dangerous move that has halted all refugee arrivals.
Without setting a number for admissions by the fiscal year deadline of September 30th, no refugees will be able to be resettled in the U.S.
STAND WITH REFUGEES TODAY: TAKE ACTION »
By taking action you will make sure that the administration and our representatives know that you want the U.S. to be a global leader in providing safety to refugees once again. I hope you'll join me.
With this inaction, the Trump administration has closed the door on thousands of refugees like Jacqueline.
Jacqueline Uwumeremyi, 43, fled from the Democratic Republic of Congo to South Africa because of violence. As refugees, she and her family faced constant xenophobia and feared for their lives. When she was finally resettled with her five children in Boise, Idaho, she "felt love for the first time."
Stand with refugees like Jacqueline by taking action with me today.
Thank you for your urgent action today,
