IRS Tax Help graphics and links
The Tax Outreach, Partnership and Education (TOPE) folks with the IRS have graciously shared tax information, infographics, and links with OCA. We have a folder of infographics ([link removed]) of important tax dates and information that you and your communities can use. Some important things to remember:
* Stay on the lookout for IRS impersonating social media accounts that may put you at risk
* In many social media scams, people are fooled into believing the message is from a trusted source
* Don’t click on links in posts or DMs pretending to be from the IRS. Check first that you are following the real IRS ([link removed] )
* The IRS doesn't spontaneously contact you by email, text message or DM to ask for personal or financial information (i.e. credit and debit card numbers, social security number, etc.)
* Some scams use fake IRS social media pages to steal your money. For your tax security and identity protection, be sure to follow the real IRS
* The IRS will NOT demand payment over social media.
If you would like more IRS Tax information resources, please contact OCA Communications Associate Eiley Fong at
