Friend, this is deeply concerning: Donald Trump just nominated far-right Judge Amy Coney Barrett to fill the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg's seat on the Supreme Court.

With less than 40 days until Election Day, Republicans are rushing to ram through another extremist nominee and override the will of the American people, the majority of whom think the next president should fill this seat.

Mitch McConnell set a precedent in 2016, and he needs to be held to it now: no confirmation of a new Supreme Court Justice until after the inauguration in 2021.

But McConnell has vowed to hold a vote for Trump's nominee as soon as possible - and with our most fundamental rights hanging in the balance, we need to fight back with everything we've got.
