Folks,
Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg wasn't just a giant in the fight for gender equality and reproductive justice -- she was also a champion for the health of our planet.
RBG played a critical role in the Supreme Court's very first ruling on climate change in Massachusetts v. EPA, which gave the EPA the authority to regulate greenhouse gas emissions -- paving the way for President Obama to enact federal regulations on carbon pollution for the first time in history and giving states and environmentalists standing in court to sue over climate change.
But with Mitch McConnell preparing to fill her seat with a far-right Trump nominee, we may lose our ability to challenge this administration's dismantling of environmental regulations in court.
If the courts become a partisan arm for the GOP to advance its agenda of climate denialism, it will be more important than ever to elect Democratic lawmakers who will take action to confront the threat of global warming.
As a scientist and former clean energy entrepreneur, I'm fighting in Congress for the bold climate leadership our country needs. But I'm a top target for national Republicans and have a right-wing challenger who wants to take us backwards -- will you chip in to make sure we have the resources to hold on to this battleground seat?

A new analysis by the Rhodium Group found that Trump's rollbacks to at least 100 environmental regulations are expected to result in an additional 1.8 billion metric tons of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere by 2035 -- more than the combined emissions of Germany, Britain, and Canada over the course of a year.
Time is running out. We need to act now,
