Friend -
We at March for Moms mourn the loss of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg this week. She was a tireless advocate for many of us and a guiding light for working mothers everywhere. Being only the second woman on the Supreme Court and a mom, she gave visibility to motherhood in ways that had previously been harder to see.
As the country continues to struggle under the medical and financial burdens of COVID-19, Congress has dissolved to fighting about Justice Ginsberg's replacement, rather than passing another relief bill.
We are working hard to keep Congress accountable to pregnant people and moms - and even pushing them to extend Medicaid coverage to a full year postpartum. Check out our recent Congressional Briefing [[link removed]]with Congresswoman Underwood, Congresswoman Adams and Congresswoman Herrera Beutler on Advancing Respectful, Accountable Maternity Care in Medicaid, read our letter [[link removed]]and help us spread the word that moms cannot be ignored during the COVID-19 crisis.
Thank you,
Katie
