Dear reader,
In the last few days, Iāve heard from a teacher whose hybrid schedule is so confusing and logistically challenging that she wishes sheād opted for online only. Then thereās the professor who feels both relieved and sad when saying, āSee you next week on Zoom.ā And the college student quarantined in her off-campus ([link removed]) apartment with two infected roommates, learning online in between taking a battery of coronavirus tests.
Itās a back-to-school time like no other. Chinese students are reporting more anxiety and depression, ([link removed]) rural students need more connectivity ([link removed]) and reading instruction must go on in new and innovative ways ([link removed]) . And sometimes, students just want to talk about what matters to them; a Memphis teacher has realized they are mourning the actor Chadwick Boseman.
