Hello John,

I’ve said it from Day 1 [[link removed]] , the City’s management is a mess. Now we know, the City Auditor agrees [[link removed]] .

The consequences of poor executive leadership are many:

1. A bloated middle-management of political public relations professionals puts downward pressure on the salaries of hardworking city employees who actually perform valuable services, [[link removed]]
2. The lack of a compensation strategy leads to arbitrary decision-making and an inability to attract new talent,
3. Overpaying for a 50-year old building instead of exploring flex and remote-work opportunities to accommodate our workforce is just stupid, [[link removed]]
4. and Failing to ensure equal pay for equal work is just unfair.

I’ve started multi-million dollar businesses that employed hundreds of employees. I’ve started impactful nonprofits that have served our community. And I’ve made tough decisions.

I know that building a strong, effective organization requires clear goals, teamwork and accountability.

When I say I could care less about building a political career, I’m serious. There’s no time for a Mayor who has a little black book of lobbyists, special interests, and political insiders to please [[link removed]] .

I will listen to the City Auditor’s Human Capital Report [[link removed]] . I will execute on my Roadmap to Recovery [[link removed]] . And I promise that, with real solutions, we can clean up the mess that years of empty promises [[link removed]] have created.

Can you Volunteer? [[link removed]]

Can You Contribute? [[link removed]]

Let’s get to work,

PS. We’re coming up on an important fundraising deadline and the lobbyists and special interests have gone into hyperdrive to protect my opponent. Please consider a contribution [[link removed]] today to help us combat the politics-as-usual and, together, take back City Hall for all of Us .
