Hello, True Texans!

What a treat I received this week!  Check this out...

How fun to be at the kickoff for Nate Sheets’s bus tour where one
person after another took to the stage and proclaimed, “_I FIRST
LEARNED ABOUT NATE FROM TRUE TEXAS PROJECT._”  THAT’S INFLUENCE!
Not only does it give Texas a great Ag Commissioner, but it gives TTP
street cred.  It tells candidates that IF THEY WANT TO WIN, THEY
BETTER FALL IN LINE WITH THE PRIORITIES OF TRUE TEXANS ACROSS THE
STATE.  Nate Sheets was virtually unknown when he decided to run for
a statewide office against a man whose entire persona screams “Texas
Agriculture!” I was brutally honest with Nate about his uphill
battle from the get-go, and he took all my words to heart.  He
worked his butt off, he showed up at every True Texas event, spoke at
all our satellites, listened, strategized, stayed humble… and WON!
Way to go, True Texans.  I know many of you played a part because
you said so from the stage at the bus tour!

Now let's get _all _our candidates over the finish line.  Take a

2.  OUR MONTHLY TTP@HOME PODCAST INTERVIEW  For September, Shelby
filled in for me when my house flooded! Thank you, Shelby!  She and
Fran did a great job interviewing the Director/Producer of the movie
"Remember the Alamo: Don't Sharia My Texas".  We're showing it all
over the state, so go to our website calendar and put "sharia" in the
search bar to find a showing near you.

STILL HERE!

Oops!  I guess maybe we haven't emphasized our matching grant
strongly enough.  It's pretty slow going!  $5/mo? $10/mo?  How
much can you part with for the good of Texas?  The dollar amount
doubles for the rest of the year! NOT TOO LATE TO GET IN FOR
SEPTEMBER!

This election season has been crazy-busy, so it's been nice each
weekend to pause and write to you in celebration of all we are
doing.  I hope you're reading and _TAKING ACTION_!
