On our September 11th call, we will: 1) Share Reflections from September 11, 2001, when we had farmers in town working on the then-2001 Farm Bill, which was pending House Floor Action that week. 2) Provide Updates and Actions on the 2026 Farm Bill, which is pending a final vote for passage in the Senate Agriculture Committee as early as Tuesday, Sept 15. At stake is whether any votes can be changed to ensure that whatever bill finally clears Congress reverses the deep cuts to the SNAP program that are affecting families and communities across the nation.
