That’s how much English Premier League team Manchester City paid to sign Argentina midfielder Enzo Fernández from Chelsea. The sum, equivalent to $169 million, matches the fee Liverpool paid to sign Newcastle’s Alexander Isak last year. City, which claimed eight Premier League titles from the 2011–12 to 2023–24 seasons, finished second in the Premier League last season behind Arsenal. —Clemson football head coach Dabo Swinney on Tuesday, referring to LSU and head coach Lane Kiffin’s attempt to sign players who participated in NFL preseason activities. Dae’Quan Wright and Zxavian Harris, who were waived by the Browns and Saints, respectively, were part of a group of players who [sued the NCAA]([link removed]) for a fifth year of eligibility after it refused to grandfather them in to a new policy.
