We are channeling our devastation and rage over the loss of Protect Education — and we’re taking dramatic, strategic, and bold action to flip the legislature this November 3rd 💪💪💪 Join us THIS weekend, Sat. Sept. 5th & Sun. Sept. 6th [[link removed]] , to join a door knocking canvass for a battleground (competitive) district so that we can educate voters about downballot races and flip the Arizona state legislature to one that is pro-public education!

We know folks like to knock in their own neighborhoods, and that’s wonderful, but we are asking our volunteers to make a drive (or phonebank) to these 8 competitive legislative districts (LDs) so that your voice will FINALLY be heard at the Capitol. We always need drivers (and a nice cool A/C) so please come even if canvassing is not do-able 🚘☺️ If you’re new, we always provide training and a buddy - first-timers are welcome and celebrated!

Phonebanks: Not able to drive canvassers or canvass yourself? Located too far from any battleground areas? Phonebanks are a great way to plug in with our team - we make them fun, and they are very effective at informing voters about downballot candidates!

📋👟 The Path to Victory is Clearer than Ever: After 10 years of tireless work trying to elect a pro-public education legislature that will prioritize and fund schools worthy of our incredible students and educators, the data shows that the path to victory is finally here – if we all roll up our sleeves and put in the work in the 8 “battleground” districts that will make this win possible. Arizona is one of the top battleground states in the entire country, and following electoral wins in purple and red states across the US [[link removed]] , it’s clear the electorate is moving quickly away from MAGA/Trump candidates. Republican Andy Biggs is trailing Governor Katie Hobbs in polling [[link removed]] , and his support for Trump is dragging him down.
The math is there for a strong path to victory:
* We are targeting 6 flippable State Senate seats; we need to win 3 out of 6 targeted races to flip the State Senate.
* We are targeting 9 flippable State House seats; we need to win 4 out of 9 to flip the State House.
* And of course – we must fight to protect those running for re-election.
We have 10 weeks left to educate voters in these 8 target districts to flip the state legislature to one that is pro-public education – so we are asking our volunteers to “adopt” a district and commit to volunteering there [[link removed]] – whether in person (canvassing or driving canvassers), or by phonebanking virtually with us.
