I wrote a blog post the other day -- literally it was the first
one I had written in over a year and a half. I didn't think
anyone would actually read it (let alone remember my blog still
existed). What started out as this simple request during an
Instagram Q & A asking for my opinion on the best states to move
to morphed into a monster list of the best and worst states
ranked by the criteria hundreds of people in "our" community said
mattered to them most. You know...things like v@ccin3
exemptions, homeschooling regulations, covid19 response, second
amendment freedoms, and governor approval ratings (to name a
few). I was certain South Dakota would come out on top, but it
didn't. I was sure that New York would be dead last...and it was.
Some people were mad. Apparently, the number of Starbucks a
state has should have been part of the evaluation process and the
top state didn't have enough. Others were convinced that their
state had amazing homeschool laws only to discover that in fact,
their state had quite restrictive laws (at least compared to
those states that were ranked higher) and they just hadn't been
following their state's requirements for homeschooling. But of
course, most of the people loved the list, packed their bags to
move, or decided that their state wasn't that bad afterall. If
you haven't read the post and you're not sure if you should stay
and fight or move to better ground while you can, you can read it
HERE (

). I will try to keep this list updated as laws change, we pass
elections, and with ever-evolving feedback. The Best States to
Live in and Move to (if You're Contemplating a Mass Exodus from
Your State) (
