Governor Hogan Announces Stage Three of Maryland’s Recovery Plan, Deploys Vital Contact Tracing Tool​

Governor Hogan announced [link removed] that Maryland will enter Stage Three of the state’s gradual and evidence-based recovery plan, authorizing the safe reopening of indoor theaters, outdoor venues, and the expansion of capacity limits at retail and religious facilities. This comes after Maryland’s COVID-19 positivity rate [link removed], hospitalizations, and cases per 100,000 have all hit new lows in recent weeks.

In addition to spearheading an interstate testing compact [link removed] to secure millions of rapid antigen tests, Maryland is providing national leadership on contact tracing, becoming one of the first states to deploy a new exposure notification tool in collaboration with Apple and Google.
