‌ ‌Quick question, John: What’s the best five bucks you’ve ever spent?

For me, it was a couple of ice creams at Goodnoe Farm Dairy Bar, nearly forty years ago. As a teenager, I didn’t exactly have a ton of disposable income — but an ice cream date with my future wife (and future First Lady of Pennsylvania)?

That was easily the best $5 I ever spent.

Here’s what I’m getting at: That $5 didn’t seem like a big deal at the time. But looking back? It changed my entire life.

And John, that’s exactly why I’m asking you to pitch in just $5 to my reelection campaign here in Pennsylvania.
