Hello everyone!

Happy September! Time is flying by––fall is coming, school is starting, and we are just 63 days away from Election Day. It is more important now than ever to get calls and texts out for Susan. If you want to help keep Susan in office, add an additional phonebank or textbank to your week, and bring a friend or family member along to make calls or send texts with you.

Mayor Pete Endorsement
Last week, Pete Buttigieg endorsed Susan for Congress. Susan holds a very important seat in the House, and Pete knows that her race could make the difference in keeping a Democratic majority in the House in 2020.

Pete joins Emily's List, United Steelworkers, the Human Rights Campaign, and many other organizations and leaders that have also expressed their support for Susan. You can find the full list of endorsements here ([link removed]) .
Letters to the Editor
We are looking for five volunteers this week to send Letters to the Editor. Can we count on you to be one of them?

We will help every step of the way! Sign up below to get more information.

Students and youth voters are encouraged to join our YouthVote Summit on Saturday 9/12 to learn about getting Susan and other Democrats into office in November. Volunteer Spotlight
A huge shoutout to our top three callers of the week! Congratulations to Dianne for her second straight week on the list.
Thank you for all your amazing work. Thank you, also, to all of our awesome volunteers for the work you're putting into the campaign. We need you to win in November!

Susan understands the importance of community, and we want to create community among our volunteers––even if we cannot meet in person right now. Check back next week for our first volunteer introduction. In the meantime, join other volunteers in our Slack Channel, where we're introducing ourselves, sending out updates about the campaign, and swapping stories!

Staff Spotlight
Since we cannot meet you all at community events or in-person phonebanks, we're coming up with other ways to introduce you to members of our team. Introducing the weekly Staff Spotlight! This week, we want to introduce you to one of our new organizers: Maya.
Tell us about yourself. My name is Maya and I just graduated from Easton Area High School. I’m taking a gap year before I head to Yale next fall! In high school I was heavily involved in band as a flutist, musical theatre as a student director, and on student council. I also volunteered for Susan’s campaign in 2018. I’ve lived in this district my whole life - Easton to be exact - but my parents are from Cameroon.

Why Susan? I support Susan because of her willingness to reach across the board to get policies put in place to help Pennsylvanians. I especially love her push to allocate more resources to technical schools and apprenticeship training as well as her emphasis on the importance of mental health care.

What is your role on the campaign? I’m a field organizer for the PA house districts 131, 135, 136. It’s my job to find enthusiastic volunteers and give them the resources they need to inform Pennsylvanians about Susan’s policies and the importance of voting this coming fall. I also coordinate heavily with other democratic leaders in my area.
What is your advice for volunteers? Because I volunteered in 2018 I am familiar with the anxiety that comes with talking to strangers and not knowing how they’ll react, but remember why you’re doing what you do: to elect great leaders that will do nothing but serve the best interests of Pennsylvanians, like Susan. Keep that idea in mind and know that your job is imperative for this, and every other, election.
Next week we'll introduce you to field organizer Andrew! Andrew recently started with the campaign, and we are excited to have him.

We're looking forward to seeing you all this week for phonebanks and textbanks.

Have a wonderful week!
