We're starting a Digital Team, and we want to be upfront that it's a different approach than what most campaigns and organizations have run before.
Here's the idea. Instead of only pushing content out through ads and official accounts and hoping it finds the right people, we're asking supporters to carry a message — in their own words — into the group chats and online communities they're already part of. The neighborhood thread, your Instagram, the alumni Facebook group, the family text chain.
A lot of those spaces aren't political at all. That's the point. They're full of people we have no other way to reach: not on our lists, not clicking our ads, not following anyone's campaign account. The person already in that room is the only one who can get a message in, and the only one who knows how to say it so it doesn't feel out of place.
So the task isn't forwarding talking points or propaganda. It's taking what we send you and translating it for people you understand better than we do.
That matters most for the arguments we care about most. It's another way to reach people — and for a lot of them, the only way.
We’re hosting virtual information sessions weekly so you can learn more about it. You’ll hear about our objectives this year and how you can participate in the Digital Team.
So are you up for it? Find a day and time that works for you and join us for an upcoming session.
