John,
Fifty-seven years ago, hundreds of thousands of activists, community leaders, demonstrators and freedom fighters gathered on the national mall for the historic March on Washington. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. gave his famous “I Have A Dream” speech on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. Yesterday, we were so proud and deeply humbled to be an official partner of National Action Network’s The Commitment: Get Your Knee Off Our Necks March on Washington 2020. The work of our generation is to make Dr. King's dream of full equality for every person in this country a reality at last.

We gathered in our nation's capital, in our home states, and virtually to continue fighting for justice for lives that have been lost at the hands of racism and gun violence. We were especially moved by Yolanda King’s speech [[link removed]] , an activist just like her grandfather, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Yolanda joined us in 2018 on stage at the March For Our Lives where she proclaimed, “we WILL be a great generation.” It’s time to live up to that.
Help us continue our fight for justice and a world free of gun violence by doing these three things today.

don’t

If you marched with us in 2018, you should be taking action now to fight for justice. This movement is nothing without the powerful Black organizers that came before us. We follow their lead and work towards a day where everyone can live in peace, free from the fear of violence. What side of history will you be on? Fifty-seven years from today, what will you say you did?
The future of our democracy depends on how you answer. Our lives depend on it. Our future will be decided by it.
