🚨 URGENT‼️ Republicans are negotiating a backroom deal [[link removed]] that would eliminate the Protect Education Initiative, discard all voter signatures, and prevent AZ voters from having any say in reining in the $1 billion ESA voucher program. This is anti-democratic, anti-public school, and an affront to the hundreds of thousands of voters who have signed.
We are gathering at the House Gallery now to oppose this blatant attack on democracy and public education.

My name is ______ and I am writing to ask you to vote NO on HB2142.
Arizona voters adamantly support public school funding, and increased accountability and transparency of ESA private school vouchers. Voting to approve HB2142 would in one fell swoop cancel the will of hundreds of thousands of Arizona voters who signed to put ESA voucher reform on the ballot.
Voting to approve HB2142 would rob the people of Arizona from the ability to vote to rein in the $1 billion voucher program that’s robbing our public schools. HB2142 does not include real guardrails to the program like the Protect Education initiative does. HB2142 does almost nothing to strengthen safety and accountability, and fails to recoup hundreds of millions of dollars for our public school funding
As a volunteer, I have given ____ hours and submitted ____ petitions in the heat, all while having meaningful conversations with voters in the field about the importance of civic engagement, public education, and electing officials who support Arizona’s public schools.
Voters have a right to weigh in on how their taxpayer dollars are spent, and any yes vote on HB2142 would disenfranchise Arizona voters.
