This year our country has engaged in a national conversation about race, police brutality, and the oppressive systems on which our society was built. We have also seen historic protests in support of the Black Lives Matter movement which have inspired so many to demand accountability and change.
This conversation has made one thing painfully clear to me: we need more Black leaders at all levels of our government.
That’s why I am emailing you today to ask if you will donate $5 to support five incredible Black U.S. Senate candidates. We need Cory Booker (New Jersey), Jaime Harrison (South Carolina), Raphael Warnock (Georgia), Mike Espy (Mississippi), and Adrian Perkins (Louisiana) in Congress. Can you donate right now?

Democrats only need to flip four Senate seats this year — and we can do it with these great candidates — in order to reclaim control of Congress from Mitch McConnell. We can’t afford to let this slip through our fingers, not when we’re this close to taking back the majority.
