The Census Bureau is being pressured by the White House to finish their 2020 Census count in less time than needed to complete a full count of every person living in the United States. Because of this, we face the possibility of having a massive undercount and risk losing federal funding for schools, roads, Medicare, Medicaid and other public services in communities around the country.

A shorter door-knocking time frame will seriously impact the most vulnerable and underserved communities if they are undercounted this year. The U.S. Census occurs only once a decade, so it’s vital we get an accurate count before the deadline.
