American Academy of Nursing to Induct 230 New Fellows
Congratulations to the American Academy of Nursing&rsquo;s 2020 fellows. These 230 highly distinguished nurse leaders, chosen for their significant contributions to nursing and health care, represent 38 states, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. territory of Guam, as well as 13 countries.

Campaign Representative Now a Nursing Education Academy Fellow
The National League for Nursing&rsquo;s Academy of Nursing Education has selected 15 new fellows&mdash;&ldquo;outstanding individuals&rdquo; who play a &ldquo;critical role in preparing nursing school graduates to step right onto the front lines,&rdquo; says the NLN president. COVID-19 Increases Need for New Roles for Nursing Schools
When it comes to COVID-19, nationally, &ldquo;Who is in charge?&rdquo; Raising the question and suggesting an answer is Susan Swider, PhD, APHN-BC, FAAN, in a piece on the Campaign blog. &ldquo;Age-Friendly&rdquo; Initiative Helps Nurses, Patients in Retail Clinics
Older adults receiving care from nurse practitioners at many of the nation&rsquo;s retail clinics today benefit from a grant made in 2018. That&rsquo;s when the John A. Hartford Foundation gave significant funding to a group that included the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing at Case Western Reserve University. One innovative result: more &ldquo;age-friendly&rdquo; care.

Black Leader in Nursing Recounts History of Racism
Bernardine Lacey, EdD, RN, FAAN, remembers well the slights she overcame growing up as an African American in the Jim Crow South. Lacey, an American Academy of Nursing Living Legend and key supporter of the Campaign mentoring program for minorities, speaks of that and more in an oral history transcribed in the August issue of American Journal of Nursing.

Calling all registered nurses (RNs) and advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs): have you served for at least one year on a board of directors with fiduciary responsibilities?
