DOUBLE YOUR DONATIONS!

Hello John,

From now until midday Wednesday 29 April, your donation will be DOUBLED. So, when you donate to save the iconic symbol of Born Free, you’ll have TWICE the impact.

Every online donation to save lions from extinction, made via our Earth Raise page, will be doubled. For one week only, your donation will be worth twice as much, thanks to match-funding from generous Born Free supporters and the Reed Foundation. Now, that’s something to roar about!

DOUBLE MY DONATION ([link removed])

Like us, are you spellbound by the mesmerising beauty and power of the lion? Our charity wants to raise £100,000 in the next seven days to keep these iconic animals safe, in our heartland of Meru National Park, Kenya.

Your gift will help unlock match-funding – so every £20 you donate will be worth £40, to help protect lions, and help them coexist with local people.

The Problem

As human populations rapidly grow in Kenya, more land is used for settlements and farms. Lions increasingly come into contact with people, which can lead to conflict. This can be deadly.

With less wild prey available, hungry lions can attack livestock. Angry owners, desperate to protect their livelihoods, may retaliate. Lions can:

🦁 Be brutally speared

🦁 Be poisoned, by eating a cow carcass laced with toxic pesticide

🦁 Suffer horrific injuries in lethal wire snares

Tragically, this can lead to slow, agonising deaths. Please, help us stop this.

The Solution

Born Free works with communities in Kenya to deploy innovative and effective solutions to conflict. With your support, our team can remove snares, reinforce enclosures to keep livestock safe, and use flashing lights to deter lions. These simple strategies could benefit lions and people alike.

But don’t delay!

Today and for the next seven days only, your donation could help save lions AND be worth TWICE as much! Your generous donation could reduce conflict and help this iconic species peacefully coexist with local communities in Kenya.

Every single lion matters, don’t you agree?! Donate today to double your donation. You could help save lions and secure their future.
