Sul wrote: “Dear Vanessa, My prayer for you is to be at peace and happy wherever
[you’re] at. You were a courageous [woman] to have stood for what you believed.
I’m so proud we shared the same uniform and although I never got the honor [of]
meeting you, I love you. RIP”
Maria wrote: “Vanessa, I owe you so much. Thanks to you, I was finally able to
reveal the sexual harassment I experienced by a superior in the military. I am
sorry that it took this terrible injustice to finally give me the strength. I
will always hold you dearly in my heart and will continue to speak out in support
of you and your family.”
Dorty Anne wrote: “Vanessa you have led me to so many amazing people, you are my

Virtual Rally to Honor Heroes - Encore Streaming
Join in! [ [link removed] ] | Renaming Our Nation's Military Bases
In 1948, President Harry Truman signed executive Order 9981 [ [link removed] ]
which required the government to desegregate the military. The order also led to
the establishment of the President’s Committee on Equality of Treatment and
Opportunity in the Armed Services. This past Sunday, LULAC joined Citizens
Against Intolerance in premiering the video stream of a virtual rally. Its
purpose was to highlight our combined commitment to reflecting our country’s
diversity within the military. Let’s transform America’s historical focus away
from symbols that promote racial subjugation and inequality.
Take a moment and watch the stream at LULAC.org/heroes/live. [ [link removed] ]
Speakers include:
* Troy E. Mosley, CEO of Citizens Against Intolerance
* Sindy Benavides, CEO of LULAC
