Tens of millions are unemployed, 40% of renters face eviction, COVID-19 case-counts are soaring, and billionaire oligarchs like Jeff Bezos are getting even wealthier.
Extreme wealth inequality in the United States is fundamentally incompatible with a government that works in the best interest of Americans. Nothing proves that more than billionaires making obscene profits as tens of millions slide into poverty and desperation.
That’s why our network of Our Revolution activists from coast to coast are proud to stand with Bernie Sanders in support of his new legislation to cover all out-of-pocket medical expenses for the uninsured and underinsured. This will be paid for using a one-time 60% tax on growth in billionaire wealth between the beginning of the pandemic and now.

Bernie’s bill could potentially fund other public goods because it will raise a significant amount of money from the 467 billionaires who would be subject to the tax.
According to Americans for Tax Fairness, those plutocrats have seen their wealth expand 30% since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic for an average of $5.2 billion a day. Even after Bernie’s tax, they would still have gained $310 billion in wealth gains since mid-March.
With so many families on the verge of getting thrown on the street with no safety net, it’s immoral for any public servant to stand against Bernie’s plan to tax billionaire wealth expansion during the pandemic. Sign here if you agree! ([link removed])
