When you’re less than 100 days out from the most important election of our lifetimes, it takes a lot to put that work on pause. But last week, the work we’re doing at Vote Save America came to a standstill as we tuned in to the celebration of the life of Rep. John Lewis. We were inspired by the words of activists and leaders like Rev. James Lawson and President Obama, and we’re ready to take our marching orders to continue his legacy and fight for Every Last Vote.

This Thursday marks the 55th anniversary of the Voting Rights Act, and to commemorate the passage of that landmark legislation as well as the work we have left to do to fulfill its goals, we’re hosting a special virtual event to share and discuss the new documentary John Lewis: Good Trouble.

Tune in on Thursday, 8/6 at 4pm Pacific/7pm Eastern to join Pod Save America’s Jon Favreau and Crooked Media’s Political Director Shaniqua McClendon for a panel discussion about the life and legacy of Congressman Lewis. They will be joined by special guests who worked on the film and are continuing to make good trouble. For all the details go to crooked.com/goodtrouble to get your ticket.

$5 from each virtual ticket will go to our Every Last Vote fund, supporting groups on the ground that are registering and mobilizing Black, brown, and indigenous communities that are often targeted for voter suppression efforts.

Your virtual ticket purchase will include:
* A screening link to watch the film
* Access to a live discussion on Thursday, Aug 6th with the film’s Director Dawn Porter, Pod Save America’s Jon Favreau, Crooked Media’s Political Director Shaniqua McClendon, and more special guests!
* A bonus interview between Rep. Lewis and Oprah Winfrey in May of 2020

See you there!

P.S. If you’ve already seen the film but would like to join us for the discussion on Thursday and donate to the fund, you can do that here ([link removed]) .
